About
Medical students already answer thousands of questions. Long QBank blocks, flashcards, practice exams — the volume is enormous, and it works. Nobody needs another thousand-question product.
Scrub Battle started from a different question: what would a small daily habit look like? Five high-yield clinical questions, every day, with immediate explanations — short enough to keep, focused enough to matter.
Then we added the thing studying never had: stakes. Daily scoring, streaks, and leaderboards that rank students, class years, and whole medical schools against each other. Suddenly the daily five isn't just review — it's a competition.
The Idea
Five questions. Not fifty, not five hundred. A format built for consistency, not cramming — something you can do every single day of third year.
Competition is what makes daily review stick. When your class and your school are counting on you, showing up gets easier.
Educational Content
Questions and explanations are written and reviewed by the team behind the Surgery Shelf Prep and Medicine Shelf Prep podcasts — the same people who teach these topics on the show.
Every explanation is built to answer two things: why the correct answer is correct, and why each other choice is less appropriate. That structure comes directly from how we teach on the podcasts and how clinical reasoning is actually tested.
Content stays aligned with major society guidelines, peer-reviewed literature, and trusted textbooks, and is updated as guidelines change.
The Ecosystem
The daily clinical competition — five questions, explanations, and leaderboards for students, classes, and schools.
