Do not use a username, profile photo, or profile information that you do not want others to see. We may restrict or remove usernames, profile photos, or content that violate our rules, policies, or applicable law.

3.5 Purchase, Subscription, RevenueCat, and Promotional Information

If you purchase a subscription or in-app purchase, Apple processes the payment through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full credit card number, debit card number, bank account number, Apple ID payment credentials, or complete payment method details.

We may receive, generate, store, or process subscription-related information, including:

• Subscription product purchased;
• Product identifier;
• Subscription status;
• Entitlement status;
• Purchase history;
• Renewal status;
• Expiration status;
• Cancellation status;
• Refund status;

We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription entitlements, purchase status, promotional access, and subscription events.

Deleting your Scrub Battle account does not automatically cancel an active Apple App Store subscription. You must manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store account settings unless Apple provides another cancellation method.

3.6 Device, Technical, Diagnostic, Crash, and Update Information

We may collect device and technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, update, and improve the Service, including:

We do not collect precise GPS location unless we separately ask for permission and you grant it. The current version of the App is not designed to require precise location data.

If you choose to upload a profile photo, the App may request access to your photo library, camera, or device media picker. We use this access only to allow you to select or upload a profile image.

You can change photo or camera permissions through your device settings.

10. No Sale, No Targeted Advertising, No Cross-App Tracking, and Privacy Signals

We do not sell personal information.

We do not share personal information with data brokers.

We do not use personal information to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies for targeted advertising.

We do not display third-party targeted advertising in the App.

We do not use App data for behavioral advertising.

We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals or Global Privacy Control signals because the App and website do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide required rights, choices, and signal-response mechanisms.

11. Data Retention

• Backups: deleted information may remain in backups for a limited period until backups are overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course of business.

After account deletion, personal information is typically removed from active production databases within 30 days, unless retention is required or permitted for legal, security, fraud prevention, transaction, accounting, tax, dispute resolution, backup, or compliance purposes. Backup systems may retain copies for up to 90 days before those copies are overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course of operations.

When personal information is no longer needed, we will delete, de-identify, or aggregate it unless retention is required or permitted by law.

Important subscription note: deleting your Scrub Battle account does not automatically cancel your Apple App Store subscription. You must separately manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store account settings unless Apple provides another cancellation mechanism.

After deletion, you may lose access to your quiz history, scores, streaks, subscription-linked App access, promo access, leaderboard records, and other account features.

13. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

These safeguards may include:

• Access controls;
• Encryption in transit;
• Provider-level security controls;

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for using a secure device.

Scrub Battle is a medical education and test-preparation platform.

The App is not a healthcare provider. The App does not provide medical advice. The App is not intended to diagnose, treat, monitor, prevent, or manage any disease, injury, or medical condition. The App is not intended for patient care, clinical decision-making, emergency use, or as a substitute for professional medical judgment.

Users must not submit protected health information, patient identifiers, real patient cases, patient images, medical record numbers, or confidential patient information through the App, website, support channels, profile fields, usernames, images, or any other feature.

Educational content in the App is provided for learning and exam preparation only. Clinical decisions should always be made by qualified healthcare professionals using appropriate clinical judgment, institutional policies, and current medical standards.

20. HIPAA Notice

Scrub Battle is not intended to collect, receive, store, process, or transmit protected health information through the App. The App is not designed for patient care, patient communication, clinical documentation, billing, or healthcare operations.

Users should not enter or upload protected health information or patient-identifying information into the App.

If we discover that protected health information or patient-identifying information has been submitted, we may delete it and take appropriate action.

The App may automatically calculate scores, streaks, rankings, and leaderboard placements based on quiz activity and App usage.

These automated calculations are used for educational, motivational, and competition features only. They are not used to make decisions that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects, such as employment, credit, insurance, housing, healthcare, or educational admissions decisions.
